The second verse is my favorite. Where I talk about him moving the trailer home into a gated community.

I grew up in a trailer home. My dad still lives in that same trailer home and almost has it paid off after about 30 years. He’s had several failed relationships and a lot of changes, but he’s never moved or bought a new house. So my siblings and I one day were joking about how that trailer home is his soulmate.

This song doesn’t have to be specifically about the music industry. Any working woman can relate.

I genuinely love this whole song but I thought it was great to be able to incorporate the word “bitch” into a song without is sounding to explicit.

I have been through a lot as a woman in the music industry. This song is about my feelings and experiences associated with that.
3. Time Steals Everything

Wrote this one about the worst decision I’ve ever had to make. But even though it was a hard decision, it was the right one.

A really old song of mine written about how you can’t be friends with someone after a break up because you still have feelings for them.

Sent the first couple verses to my friend Blake and then he sent back another. I added in a sort of bridge afterwards. To me this is how it feels coming to terms with the fact your dreams probably wont come true. And that you may let people down when you tell them you’ve shifted your life’s focus.

Wrote this during Covid. Its main purpose was to capture the eerie feeling of driving through cities that are normally extremely busy and finding them almost completely deserted.

About my oldest daughter who we adopted through DHS. Had the idea for this after I signed paperwork for the first time that required me to sign as the parent or guardian.

Back when I was playing music full time I barely slept at home. I was mostly being a road dog and sleeping on people’s couches. This whole song is honestly just a day in the life of a full time gigging musician. All of us are pretty good at bull shitting our way through life, but put us in a normal 9-5 and we’ll probably be miserable and fail.

After chasing music long enough, at one point you just wake up and think “is this really what I want to do for forever?” I woke up one day just not feeling like myself and like I was stuck in a bad dream I needed to get out of. I was barely seeing success while kids whose parents had money were going viral online. I wasn’t happy anymore.

I wrote this song for my youngest daughter. The song is a lot like her. It starts out quiet and reserved. But then once you get to know her she has a huge personality.
