John received his Bachelor’s in Music Performance from ORU in 2000. He proceeded to spend over a decade playing with local symphonies as an oboist. After conquering the Tulsa oboe scene, John used his incredible musical talent to perfect the guitar as well. He was on staff as the music director at a local church for 15 years and spent a combined total of 17 years as a part of the adjunct music faculty at both ORU and TCC. He has shared the stage with many of the greats and continues to perform as a professional guitarist with many local bands and churches.
John’s depth of knowledge in ALL genres of music make him one of the most well rounded musicians we’ve ever met. His down to earth nature, calm personality, and great communication skills make him a fantastic instructor for students of all ages and ability levels.

Nathan has been playing music since he was in seventh grade! With a love for music discovered at an early age, he quickly went on to become First Chair Percussion in high school, as well as winning a variety of awards for musical excellence and playing on stage whenever and wherever he could. After that, he went to Oral Roberts University and studied music at the collegiate level.
During this time he began teaching students of all ages how to play a variety of instruments, and once he completed his Bachelor’s in Classical Guitar Performance, he began teaching and playing professionally.
Now, as a classically trained musician, he shares his love of music with anybody who wants to begin their musical journey, regardless of age or experience!
